North of Malindi, where white dunes roll down to a wild, open stretch of Indian Ocean, Che Shale is one of the Kenyan coast’s most untouched hideaways. I photographed and filmed the hotel and its landscape as a story of wind, sand, and sea. Drone aerials trace the long curve of the beach and the patterns in the dunes. A traditional dhow drifts across sunlit water. Lifestyle moments follow guests walking the shoreline at sunrise and kitesurfers carving through the surf under a rising moon.
